Rechtsanwalt (= German Attorney) Alexander Baron von Engelhardt (furthermore: ABvE) deeply respects his privacy and is committed to protecting it. ABvE provides this Privacy Statement to inform you of his privacy policy and practices and about the way this information is collected online and how that information is used. He has structured his website so that, in general, you can visit his web presentation on the Internet without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. ABvE provide from time to time links to third-party websites for your convenience and information. If you access those links, you will leave ABvE’s homepage. ABvE does not control those sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from ABvE’s. Before providing links to third party websites, ABvE looked at the website referred to and thereupon considered it to have lawful contents. Nevertheless, I do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites. The personal data you choose to give to unrelated third parties is not covered by the ABvE Privacy Statement. I generally only refer to such websites that upon his first critical impression, I consider to have lawful content.

2.   Types of Information ABvE collects


This Privacy Statement covers personal information, non-personal data collection and aggregate reporting for statistical evaluations. 

    • Personal information
      Personal information is information that is associated with his name and/or personal identity. I use personal information to be able to consult you on the assigned matter. Once you choose to provide him with personal information, you can be assured it will be used only to support his customer relationship with me. I take seriously the trust you place in him. 3.   How ABvE uses the Entrusted Information

I use your personal information to provide you with services, to better understand your needs and interests. Specifically, I use the entrusted information to help you complete a transaction or order, to communicate with you, to provide service and support.

Non-personal data is aggregated for reporting about my website usability, performance and effectiveness. It is used to improve the customer experience, usability and site content.

4.   Who ABvE Shares the Information with

I will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others. German law on attorneys strictly prohibits such with imprisonment up to one year or a punishment in paying a fine (§203 Penal Code). I will not share your personal information with third parties except in responding to your requests for products or services. In the case that products or services are requested, I will forward your eMail with my compliments to the third party.

I contract with third-party service providers and suppliers to deliver complete products, and services. Suppliers and service providers are required to keep confidential the information received on my behalf and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for me. These service providers may change or I may contract with additional service providers to better accommodate his customers.

I will not share personal information with any other third parties without his permission, unless to:

  1. respond to duly authorized information requests of governmental or other competent authorities;
  2. comply with any law, regulation, subpoena, or chist order,
  3. help prevent fraud or to enforce or protect the rights and properties of ABvE; or
  4. to protect the personal safety of ABvE employees and ABvE’s property.

If there are updates to the terms of my Privacy Statement, I will post those changes here and update the revision date in this document, so you will always know what information I collect online, how I use it, and what choices you have. For material changes to this Statement, I will provide notification to affected customers.
