Wanted: Lawyer's Assistance

I am looking for an amazing assistant with a legal and "migrational" background to join our team! The offered part-time position will quickly grow into a full-time job with your professional support. From day one, you will be working in an international atmosphere with clients from all over the world. This office is specialized in serving international investors and foreign employees wanting to relocate to Germany. 

This is your chance to shine! You'll be the first point of contact for clients, answering the phone and taking care of their needs and wishes. You'll also get to flex your organizational muscles, arranging appointments, chasing clients, partners, and offices for their input, and processing simple cases independently after some training. You'll also get to prepare applications of all kinds, run errands with agencies, manage the office in general, and be the lawyer's right hand.

I'd love to ask you a few questions. We'd love to hear

• if you're a bilingual native speaker of English and German or comparable (C1 as a minimum)! It would be fantastic if you also spoke other languages! While other languages are not mandatory, they would be a great addition to your skill set.
• if you have a law degree!
• if you can work in a paperless office! This is so important!
• if you're able to fulfill assignments reliably and independently!
• If you have any experience working inside or organizing a law office!
• if you can communicate effectively and fluently with clients in English (or in your native language) and with authorities in German – in speaking and in writing!
• if are you passionate about serving the client and ready to demonstrate this in your personal interactions, whether it's face-to-face or on the phone?
• if you're interested in working with an internationally oriented lawyer and staff!
• about your expat experiences and any intercultural training you've done! We'd love to see them in action!
• if you have a sense of humour and can stay calm under pressure!

We currently have a strong interest in German law students with a major in corporate and tax law -- with or without an exam. 

The great news is that working hours can be structured either on-site or from home. We'll show you the ropes when it comes to the ins and outs of labour and business immigration, as well as company formations.
